"Illumination Theory" Animation for Dream Theater (Band)

Some years ago I was asked to create a video for the track "Illumination Theory" by Dream Theater. I was given creative freedom for this over 4 minute long animation. I tried my best to come up with something that captures the essence of the track and it's lyrics. A storyboard and a script helped in guiding the final animation while communicating with the band members (John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess). The animation was rather important to them as the band left the stage for the duration of the animation. It was great fun but also very challenging!
